SCIENTECH LABORATORIES – MICROBIOLOGY LABORATORY ASSOCIATE
The Microbiology Lab Associate is responsible for conducting Microbiological testing using established methods for Pharmaceutical, OTC drug, Cosmetic, Dietary Supplement, and Botanical products in an FDA cGMP environment for various clients.

Microbiology Lab Supervisor
COLLABORATES WITH:
Chemistry Lab Associates, Lab Technicians, and Quality Assurance colleagues
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Coordinate and conduct various routine microbiological testing including but not limited to Microbial limit testing, Method Suitability testing, Antimicrobial/Preservative Efficacy Testing, microbial identification, water testing, and bioburden monitoring.
· Read, record and analyze test results in compliance with FDA cGMP and GDP guidelines.
· Peer review data as required for accuracy, data integrity and protocol compliance.
· Perform day-to-day activities in the lab including maintaining microbial cultures, media preparation and growth promotion.
· Maintain inventory of lab supplies including various media and clean/maintain equipment such as incubators, refrigerators and freezer.
· Perform other functions as required or assigned .
· Complies with all company policies and standards.
· Support method development and validation activities on occasion.
· Independently manages own day-to-day activities to support lab objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Microbiology or biological sciences preferred)
· 1-3 years of relevant work experience
· Strong experience with Aseptic Techniques
· Familiar with the FDA GMP environment and Quality procedures
· Must possess the ability to organize and maintain all data for the assigned projects and ensuring compliance to established policies and procedures
· Independent, yet a great team player.
· Organized and able to plan work efficiently and effectively.

· Ability to consistently deliver on-time results for clients.
This is a 100% onsite position that may occasionally require weekend or evening work.
